ITALIAN NANOTECHNOLOGY CENSUS
Now available the 3° Edition of the Italian Nanotechnology Census, published by Airi/Nanotec IT.
The Census, in English, is a unique source of information for anyone willing to have a comprehensive and up-to-date panorama of nanotechnology in Italy. It contains detailed information on some 190 public and private organization active in nanotechnology and a statistical analysis of the data gathered from them.
For each of the structure a specific file is available, with data on the organisation profile (contact person, size, employees, revenues, R&D personel), R&D activities in nanotechnologies (covering 8 different macro areas and 90 research topics), patents, publications, R&D grants, applications, processes and products, instrumentation, education initiatives.

Outcomes of the Nanocode Project
The FP7 NanoCode Project, devoted to the European Code of conduct on responsible research in nanotechnologies, involving 8 partners from Europe, Argentina and South Africa, ended on November 2011. The project engaged more than 400 stakeholders worldwide, to develop a MasterPlan for the further implementation of the Code and a self assessment and learning tool for the practical use of the Code (CodeMeter). These have been presented during the conference "Promoting Responsible Innovation: the future of the European Code of Conduct for Nanotechnologies" (Brussels, September 29th 2011).
The final MasterPlan and CodeMeter are now available in the project website together with videos and presentations of the conference and the other outcomes of the project.
