Scope of the Conference
The “European Technological Platform for the future of Textiles and Clothing” considers innovation fundamental to assure development and growth of these sectors. The 2005 and 2006 NanoItalTex Conferences have put to the fore the potentialities of nanotechnology to promote innovation (incremental and radical) in the textile sector and the existence of competences able of sustaining R&D in this field to the advantage of the Italian and European industry.

This situation, and the success of the first two editions of NanoItalTex, and the fact that the impact of nanotechnology on the textile sector is not fully explored, have prompted AIRI/Nanotec IT and TexClubTec to repeat the event widening goals, contents and aims.

With the help of experts coming from academia, industry, and international institutions, the two day conference will focus primarily on nanotechnology, but this time room will be given also to those emerging technologies which can have an important say in the effort of the sector to keep pace with the request arising from the market and to enlarge the reach of products and applications. The presentations will offer an indicative picture about the state-of-the-art of R&D and applications, as well as the future perspectives in terms of technological innovation, industry evolution and demand. The outlook will span across the all industry pipeline, and beyond, but special attention will be paid to results and trends for some specific end uses (“specialised clothing, home textiles,…).
Topics of the Conference will be also some horizontal issues set forward by the “European Technological Platform for the future of Textiles and Clothing”, which can affect innovation and industrial transformation in the sector such as funding (private and public), standardisation/regulation, education, strategic collaboration between textile/clothing players and the manufactures of equipments and machinery for the sector.

The Conference aims to entrepreneurs, researchers from industry and academia, managers with planning, production or purchasing functions, equipment suppliers, product developers and designers, venture capitalists, policy and decision makers. Call for poster
To further enrich the spectrum of the contributions the event will host also a Poster Session. Those willing to participate are invited to send the title of their contribution, with short abstract (download template ), to the Secretary of the Conference (promozione@texclubtec.it) by November the 9th . Confirmation of the acceptance of the poster will be given in 5 days from the delivery (and in any case before November the 13th).
